Karl Lagerfeld’s Spring/Summer collection for Chanel presented a softer interpretation of the house’s signature codes, balancing femininity with an effortless attitude.
The collection featured pastel pink tweed suits, micro-print georgette dresses, guipure lace skirts, and lightweight knitwear inspired by Coco Chanel’s tricot dressing. The iconic Chanel jacket was reimagined with a cardigan-like construction and finished with delicate raw-edged chiffon ruffles instead of the traditional braided trim. Handcrafted details remained central, with antique-style crochet motifs recreated in scallop-edged cardigan coats and even crochet bikinis.
A standout piece was a khaki trench coat accented with specially woven tweed inserts by Lesage, blending utility with the house’s craftsmanship. The collection highlighted Chanel’s refined tailoring and artisanal techniques while maintaining a light, relaxed silhouette.
